Michelle Mathew

ABA Therapist

ABA Therapist

Michelle is an ABA Therapist at Mind Institute with a background in counselling psychology, early intervention and special education. Her current work includes ABA sessions for children in Mind Center’s early intervention programs.

Her experience includes individual therapy, structured play and group learning activities, with a focus on helping children build skills and use them in everyday settings. She has worked with children who use communication aids, in collaboration with speech and language therapists, and has supported families with strategies to use at home.

Before joining Mind Institute, Michelle worked as an ABA Therapist and Early Intervention Lead Therapist at Leo Kanner Center in Qatar. Her responsibilities included planning group activities, monitoring progress, guiding teaching assistants and coordinating community outings to help children practise skills outside the classroom.

Her earlier work in India included life skills training for adults with intellectual disabilities, school counselling and educational coordination. This gives her a broad understanding of how learning, emotional wellbeing and practical independence connect.

Michelle holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Christ University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Psychology and Literature from Mount Carmel College. She has also completed the 40-hour RBT training course.
