Frequently asked questions
Mind Institute, Ain Khaled, Doha, offers autism assessments using the ADOS-2, ADI-R and other standardized tools, carried out by DHP-licensed psychologists.
The ADOS-2 is a structured, play-based observation used worldwide to assess communication, social interaction and behaviors related to autism. The ADI-R is an in-depth interview with parents about the child’s development and behavior. Together they are considered the gold standard for autism assessment.
Mind Institute offers autism assessments across the lifespan, from early childhood through adolescence and adulthood. The assessment tools and procedures are selected to suit the individual’s age and developmental level.
Our psychologists are trained in the ADOS-2 and the ADI-R, which are widely recognized as gold-standard tools in autism assessment. These are combined with developmental history, clinical observation, and input from parents and teachers. The assessment provides a comprehensive clinical profile of the individual’s strengths and support needs, with recommendations for home, school and therapy. A medical diagnosis is made by a physician, and we coordinate with your pediatrician or psychiatrist when needed.
Assessments can take place at our center in Ain Khaled, at your home, or at your child’s school.
