Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that helps children develop meaningful skills, reduce behaviors that interfere with learning and participation, and increase independence across everyday environments.
At Mind Institute, ABA programs are individualized to each child’s strengths, needs, interests, and goals. Our team works closely with families, schools, and other therapy providers to ensure skills learned during therapy can be successfully applied at home, in school, and within the community.
How Can ABA Help?
ABA can support children in developing skills across a variety of areas, including:
- Communication and language
- Social interaction and play skills
- Daily living and self-care skills
- Emotional regulation
- Attention and learning readiness
- Independence and adaptive functioning
- School readiness and classroom participation
- Reducing behaviors that may interfere with learning, safety, or social participation
Our Approach
Every ABA program begins with a comprehensive assessment conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Following the assessment, individualized goals are developed based on the child’s developmental level, strengths, and areas of need.
Progress is monitored continuously through data collection and regular program reviews, allowing our team to make informed adjustments and ensure meaningful progress over time.
Collaboration is a core part of our approach. Our ABA team works closely with parents, caregivers, schools, nurseries, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals involved in a child’s care. Parent and caregiver training is also provided to support consistency across environments and promote long-term success.
