Special EducatorSharon is a diligent, compassionate and efficient Special Educator. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College, Quezon City, Philippines in 2002. She then completed her Teacher’s Certificate Program from University of Santo Tomas, Manila in 2004 and later on passed the Philippines’ Licensure Examination for Teachers in the same year. Sharon then went on to obtain a Master of Arts Major in Special Education from De La Salle University, Manila.
Sharon has been a Special Education Teacher for more than 15 years working with children with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Down Syndrome and other Intellectual Disabilities. Sharon is a team player, passion-driven and works for the best interest of the child. She considers a point of strength to be in building a good rapport with the children she supports as well as the parents/guardians of those children. She is a firm believer that home and school cooperation must be consistent for the child to reach their maximum potential
Sharon also has been an advocate for the rights and welfare of Persons with Disabilities. She has been an active member of Guided and Unified Interaction for the Development of Children, Inc. (GUIDE,Inc.) since 2003, a volunteer-driven organization geared towards helping children with physical, intellectual and emotional disorders/disabilities. Recently, she has been awarded by GUIDE, Inc. a “Volunteering Excellence” certificate in recognition of her meritorious and invaluable services, commitment, selfless devotion and active engagement in the pursuit of the organization’s vision, mission and goals.
