Hafsa Fiaz

Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Hafsa received her BS Honors degree in Speech and Language Pathology with distinction and then she pursued a Masters in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she had multiple opportunities to work with children and adolescents with a variety of communication disorders.

Hafsa has worked within the hospital, school, and private practice setting and feels her expertise lies in school-age pediatric speech and language work. She previously worked specifically on a Developmental Assessment Team and with the IEP (Individualized Educational Program) team and she strongly believes in collaborating with other professionals, in order to achieve the strongest therapeutic outcomes for her clients. Hafsa holds the collaboration with Interpreters certificate from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association), Trauma Course Certification from KEMU (King Edward Medical University), Clinical rotation certificate from Children Hospital and has attended various workshops such as SCERTS Model, Makaton Sign Language, PECS and TEACCH Program. She has also presented her research work in various national and international conferences that include oral presentations in the 12th Annual Symposium of Children Hospital and Institute of Child Health, Lahore, Pakistan and in 3rd International Rehabilitation Sciences Conference, Islamabad, Pakistan. In August 2017, her research work got published in ‘International Journal of Rehabilitation Sciences’.

Her mission is to help a child to identify, manage and overcome the specific difficulties that interfere with communication.
