Laura is a fully licensed speech and language pathologist. She has been practicing since 2014 and has great interests in the special needs population and improving quality of life.
Laura received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2013 and has completed courses which focus on caregiver training, dysphagia management, and Autism. Her experience includes that of early childhood intervention, Dysphagia management, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Phonological awareness, Articulation, Receptive and Expressive language, as well as Cognitive communication.
Her joint publication on the language acquisition of young children in a native South African language not only adds value to the evidence needed to treat those with communication impairments but also developed her experience in culturally diverse populations.
Laura strongly believes in the connective power of communication and strives to promote quality of life for those she treats.
